2. 90 to 60 days outTalk to a VA-experienced lender and get pre-approved. Start narrowing neighborhoods by commute and schools.
3. 60 to 30 days outVirtual tours and video walkthroughs. We write offers remotely if the right home comes up.
4. 30 days out to arrivalInspections, appraisal, and closing, coordinated around your report date, not the other way around.

Where Tinker Families Actually Live

Tinker sits in Midwest City, but families spread across the metro depending on what they value. Rough guide:

• Shortest commute: Midwest City, Del City, you're minutes from the gate.
• Space and newer builds: Choctaw, Harrah, Newalla, acreage becomes realistic here.
• Schools and family life: Moore, Mustang, Yukon, strong districts, established neighborhoods.
• Upper end and acreage: Edmond, especially northeast Edmond, the pocket where a lot of officers land.
• College-town feel: Norman, further out, but a genuinely different lifestyle.

Commute times shift with traffic patterns and gate access, so I'd rather drive them with you than publish a number that's wrong for your shift.
